Welcome to Year 7
Assalam Alaikum, my name is Mrs Metcalfe and I am the Head of Year 7.
It is with great joy that I welcome you to our school community as your daughters begin their journey into Year 7. This is a significant milestone, not only in their academic lives but in their personal and spiritual growth, and I am honoured to be part of it.
Year 7 is a time of transition, discovery, and new potential. At Bolton Muslim Girls' School, we are deeply committed to nurturing each student in a safe, supportive, and faith-enriched environment. We aim to instil confidence, resilience, and a love of learning, all while upholding the values of Islam alongside our British values.
As the Head of Year 7, my role is to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and valued. I shall work closely with our dedicated staff to support your daughters academically, socially, and emotionally, and to help them settle into secondary school life with ease and enthusiasm.
I believe that a strong partnership with parents and carers is key to a successful school experience. I look forward to working together with you, sharing in your daughters’ achievements, and supporting them through any challenges they may face.
In addition to the above, I am the Anti-Bullying Lead at Bolton Muslim Girls' School. In this vital role, I work alongside our staff and a team of trained and certified Anti-Bullying Ambassadors to promote awareness and foster a culture of safe and respectful behaviour throughout our school. Together, we ensure that all learners understand the importance of reporting any acts of bullying. I therefore encourage any learner who is experiencing bullying to speak with me, or their form tutor, so that we may offer immediate support and take the appropriate action.
