Welcome to Year 8
Assalam Alaikum, my name is Mrs Mohamed and I am the Head of Year 8 for the academic year 2025/26.
As a Head of Year, it is my role to support, motivate and monitor learners and ensure progress is made and wellbeing of learners has been secured and that my learners feel happy and safe; so, they can fulfil their potential and become successful positive role models. High standards of behaviour and enthusiasm for their learning are expected from the learners as they move forward with new and exciting challenges.
My role as Head of Year means that I am the key person for my year group and their families. I provide support to those who need it, and I am here to guide and encourage positive behaviour that aligns with our school values.
As Head of year, I am very keen to follow up my students’ progress throughout the year and pick up any mishaps that could happen or any barrier that could be noticed which can affect their wellbeing and achievement and take an immediate action applying our school’s policy and the guidelines of safeguarding to ensure all my students are feeling safe and valued in school.
