Design and Technology
The goal for design and technology is to establish a secure learning environment that fosters learning, is engaging, imaginative, and relaxed, where students feel supported and safe. Design and technology is an inspiring and hands-on subject where students can unleash their creativity by designing and crafting products that address real and pertinent issues across various contexts. They are given the opportunity to consider their own and others' needs, desires, and values. Students gain a wide range of subject knowledge and draw from disciplines such as mathematics, science, computing, and art. They learn to take risks, becoming resourceful, innovative, entrepreneurial, and capable individuals. Through evaluating past and present design and technology, they develop a critical understanding of its influence on daily life and the broader world. The curriculum plays a crucial role in fostering the creativity, culture, prosperity, and well-being of our girls.
